Name : Our Baptism in the name of Jesus -Christ .
"The Singular Name of Salvation: Baptism in Jesus' Name"
As believers in Iglesia Sang Dios, we firmly hold that baptism in Jesus' name is the only authentic and efficacious means of spiritual rebirth. This doctrine is rooted in the Scriptures and emphasized by our Lord Himself.

The Uniqueness of Jesus' Name
Philippians 2:9-10 declares, "Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth."

Jesus' name represents His singular authority, power, and redemptive work. He alone died on the cross for our sins, and His name is the only one that offers salvation (Acts 4:12).

Biblical Precedent
The apostles, following Jesus' command, baptized believers in His name:
- Acts 2:38 - "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins."
- Acts 8:16 - "For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus."
- Acts 10:48 - "And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ."
- Acts 19:5 - "When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus."

Theological Significance
Baptism in Jesus' name signifies:
1. Identification with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.
2. Recognition of Jesus' singular authority and redemptive work.
3. Repentance and faith in Jesus Christ for salvation.

Iglesia Sang Dios' Stance
In accordance with Scripture and apostolic tradition, Iglesia Sang Dios upholds baptism in Jesus' name as essential for spiritual rebirth. We reject any alternative formulas or names, acknowledging Jesus alone as our Savior and Lord.

Hence ,Baptism in Jesus' name is not merely a ritual but a declaration of faith in the singular Name above every name. As Iglesia Sang Dios, we remain steadfast in our commitment to this doctrine, honoring our Lord's command and the apostolic example.

Supporting Scriptures: Jesus-Christ
- Matthew 28:19,(Singular name )
- Acts 2:38; 8:16; 10:48; 19:5
- Philippians 2:9-10
- Acts 4:12

The Re-Baptism
we also believe in Re-Baptism in the Book of acts .

The Book of Acts records instances of rebaptism or re-immersion, which provide valuable insights:

1. Acts 2:38-41: Peter's sermon on Pentecost led to 3,000 believers being baptized. However, some might have been previously baptized by John the Baptist or in other Jewish traditions, making this a form of rebaptism.

2. Acts 8:12-17: Philip baptized believers in Samaria, including Simon the sorcerer. Later, Peter and John laid hands on them to receive the Holy Spirit, implying a rebaptism or completion of their spiritual experience.

3. Acts 8:36-37: Philip baptized the Ethiopian eunuch, possibly rebaptizing him since he might have been previously baptized as a Jew or proselyte.

4. Acts 19:1-7: Paul rebaptized about 12 disciples in Ephesus who had only received John's baptism. Paul explained that John's baptism was for repentance, but Jesus' baptism was for the Holy Spirit.

5. Acts 22:16: Ananias commanded Saul (Paul) to be baptized, washing away his sins. This might be considered a rebaptism, as Paul had previously been a Pharisee.

Reasons for rebaptism in Acts:

1. Transition from John's baptism to Jesus' baptism (Acts 19:1-7)
2. Completion of spiritual experience (Acts 8:12-17)
3. Recognition of Jesus as Messiah (Acts 2:38-41)
4. Correction of inadequate or incomplete baptism

Lessons from Acts:
1. Baptism should be administered in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. Baptism should be accompanied by spiritual understanding and repentance.
3. Rebaptism may be necessary for those transitioning from other traditions or incomplete baptisms.
