EFFECTIVE MINISTRY OF A MINISTER IN THE CHURCH OF GOD
EFFECTIVE MINISTRY OF A MINISTER IN THE CHURCH OF GOD
1 Timothy 4:6-7, "If you instruct the brethren of these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, which thou hast carefully followed. But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness."
*INTRODUCTION*
AS A MINISTER IN THE CHURCH OF GOD, OUR RESPONSIBILITY IS TO PREACH THE WORD OF GOD AND GUIDE THE CONGREGATION. Our faith is based on our understanding of the Word of God and our commitment to follow the teachings of Christ. The effectiveness of a minister is crucial in building the body of Christ and advancing the kingdom of God. (Ephesians 4:11-13, 2 Timothy 4:2)
*STATEMENT OF FAITH*
THE CHURCH OF GOD BELIEVES THAT A GOOD MINISTER IS CALLED BY GOD, GIVEN SPIRITUAL GIFTS, AND ESTABLISHED IN SERVING GOD AND THE CHURCH. WE BELIEVE THAT THE MINISTER'S RESPONSIBILITY IS TO PREACH THE GOSPEL, TEACH THE WORD OF GOD, AND LEAD THE CONGREGATION WITH HOLINESS AND COMPASSION. (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, 2 Timothy 2:15)
